Ballet Retreat Terms and Conditions

Wherever you are in the world, you are welcome to join an En Avant Ballet Retreat.

I am so pleased you have decided to join us  – please read the following important terms and conditions before you commit to booking a retreat. The following applies to all retreats, including Day and Mini Retreats. 

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: Please note that due to Covid-19 all ballet retreats are subject to cancellation or postponement at short notice. If you have booked a retreat that is cancelled, credit will be issued to you for future bookings for up to 12months. We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance at the time of booking a ballet retreat with En Avant Ballet.

Our classes and retreats are for adults only. Participants must be 16 or over.

Liability

See full liability waiver here. Ensure you have read and understood our liability terms and conditions. You acknowledge that you are participating in a ballet retreat at your own risk and that you are medically fit to do so. En Avant Ballet cannot be held liable for any injury/ damage and/or loss that might arise as a result of your participation in these ballet retreats, if you participate against guidance from medical advisors and/ or health care professionals or if you fail to comply with advice given to you by myself (Karis Scarlette) or any other En Avant Ballet instructor during the class in particular, but without limitation, in relation to safety and/ or technique.

Payments

You are responsible for paying the fee for the ballet retreat you wish to participate in.

If 2 people from the same household wish to take part in a ballet retreat, 2 payments will be needed. A spouse who wishes to accompany you on the retreat and not take part in the classes is not liable for payment of a place on the retreat however room rates may vary.

A non-refundable 50% deposit is needed to secure your place for all retreats unless otherwise specified. Please ensure you read the small print on the booking page for the retreat you wish to book for as some Day Retreats require a smaller deposit and have differing policies refund policies. All remaining payments are required by at least 6 weeks before the start date and are non-refundable after this date. Refunds for ballet retreats already taken are not permitted under any circumstances.

Payments are to be made online. Paypal, bank transfer or a method of payment agreed by us (yourself and I) all accepted. Please ensure you save all payment receipts as you may be asked to provide these at a later date.

Retreats cannot be reserved without payment. Your place on a retreat is only confirmed once a deposit payment has been received.

Payments for ballet retreats cannot be transferred to another retreat taking place in the future without prior communication between us (yourself and me). If under the circumstances that I need to reschedule or cancel a class, your payment will be transferred to another retreat of your decision and of the same value taking place in the future.

In the event of an unprecedented situation beyond reasonable control and not the fault of En Avant Ballet (myself and other En Avant Ballet teachers) which results in the cancellation or postponing of a retreat, credit for the amount paid valid for up to 12 months will be issued to you unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon by us (myself and you).

Insurance 

If you are travelling abroad for a retreat you are responsible for purchasing comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking your ballet retreat and flights to cover you against any eventuality that may arise and cause cancellation of the ballet retreat. En Avant Ballet cannot be held financially accountable in the event of cancellations beyond reasonable control.

Privacy

You may not share, give or sell the online class login details to any other person or entity. When you book a ballet retreat you agree to take all actions possible to protect the retreat details for any fraudulent use. I reserve the right to cancel your participation in any ballet retreat without a refund if I believe our course has been compromised at my sole discretion.

I will never share or sell your data from ballet retreat bookings to anyone under any circumstances. Your email address will always be B’cc‘d and remain private when I am sending group emails unless otherwise agreed by us (yourself and I). A few days before the retreat begins I will email your permission to reveal your name, email and mobile number to the group for the use of booking of group transfers, classes and social activities such as dinners, walks, massages etc.

Whether you’re a regular member of the En Avant Ballet community or simply a sporadic class participant, I want to ensure your experience with us is valuable and positively memorable. You may not, under any circumstance reach out to contact/ attempt to communicate with any other En Avant Ballet client with defamatory claims regarding your experience with En Avant Ballet, myself (Karis Scarlette) or any other En Avant Ballet instructor. Such actions will be met with instant termination of all future bookings with En Avant Ballet. Your feedback is welcome but any abuse, harassment or threatening behaviour of our teachers will not be tolerated. Please consider if your feedback, whether public or private is necessary or kind beforehand.
